Title:Bucklands Beach
Description:The ditch offers a variety of sailing conditions, from dead flat water to chop jumping off the end of the Glendowie sand-spit. Also it isn\'t far to sail out into the harbour. Another good activity is to sail upwind up the estuary in a southerly or southwesterly to Panmure and blast back downwind. But it can get pretty choppy here compared to some other locations. And it is a busy area, so watch out for ferries and other boats. Before you get into the ditch, there is a somewhat sheltered area that is used for windsurfing practice, and is an excellent place to show off your freestyle skills. This area is perfect for beginners. Don\'t venture into the ditch unless you are reasonably skilled (you can tack, do a non-carving jibe, and don\'t fall into the water at 3 bft). There is little distance to the water at low tide and there are good rigging spots and parking.
