Title:Green Point
Description:Green Point. You either tolerate it or you hate it. One of the few reasonable locations in the north of the bay thats decent on a northerly wind. Best direction N to NW. Get there early on wind N days, as by midday its either gone or rediculously gusty. Big car park, but requires a parking fee. Rig on grass either in front of the car park, or beside it, and then launch either infront of the car park (after scrambling down the rocks) or from the beach to the south of the car park. Advantage of the direct car park launch is that you\'re in the wind immediately. Disadvantage is bashing your board to smithereen clambering down. Advantage of beach is that you tootle down the nice path and its easy access to the water; disadvantage is that theres a wind shadow right behind the point so you\'re scrambling for breeze and have to drift out to get it. Theres a reef to watch out for on the southern end of the point, but apart from that its fairly plain sailing. Dolphins occasiaonly of the point. Watch for sailboats coming in towards Sandringham yacht club, who often dive straight through the throng of people sailing. Skill level: medium to advanced
