| Title: | Dahab |
| Description: | Wind Direction
North, North-West off cross off. Prevailing strength of 7 knots or more will provide planing conditions
When to Go
All year round. Very strong (4.0 avg) in summer months and hot too. Slightly lighter (5.3 avg) in winter with shorter days and a summer suit is needed.
Other Water Users
There are some dinghies also using the bay, operated by Neilson, who have a centre in Dahab. Dinghy sailing takes place in a managed zone agreed with local authorities and with other operators.
Kite Surfing
There is a small kiting lagoon with a centre next to it but is very tidal dependant. On spring tides the lagoon will empty completely. Kiting is banned in the windsurf areas although this doesn\'t stop everyone.
Diving
In the next bay north from the main windsurfing area there are a string of diving operators. Dahab is an amazing spot for scuba diving and snorkelling, with diving and snorkelling off the beach, and famous spots such as The Blue Hole a short trip north. It\'s also possible to windsurf from the north end of this bay and it\'s not so crowded.
