Description: The best windsurfing and kitesurfing spot on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria! The beach is 3-4 km long, with camping sites on each end - \"Gradina\" North and \"Zlatna Ribka\" South, towards Sozopol. The beach is all sand, no rocks or other obstacles. Most convenient access is through the two campings. They are gated, with restrooms and little restaurants and had(have?) windsurfing and kite gear rental sites on the beach. Parking outside is sometimes a problem. Best time of year is summer, June to September, when water temperatures are around 23-25 C. Wind is inconsistent, with several quiet sunny days in a row, followed by great NE or SE winds and occasional summer storms. When the wind starts to blow, it could get a little crowded on the water, but the bay is big enough to accomodate everybody.
Beautiful location, highly recommended. |
